Collet Pads fit directly into the base jaws of High Speed Quick Change Jaw and Hydraulic Front End Power Chucks. Hard collet pads are available with either smooth or serrated gripping surfaces. Soft collet pads are also supplied for customers to machine to their own individual requirements.
Distinctive Serration design. Specifically designed for NC turning centres, Superior’s Super-Grip bi-directional collet pads feature serration lands which penetrate the work for a positive gripping action.
This unique and exclusive pyramid configuration provides equal gripping force along the spindle axis in both forward and reverse spindle rotation.
It also ensures smooth bar feeding while precluding “push back” resulting from the cutting forces. Super-Grip collet pads are ideally suited for exotic or hard materials such as inconel, stainless....and many others.
Enables users of high speed quick change 3 jaw chucks to convert to a collet chuck in seconds saving valuable ‘downtime’ with either smooth, serrated or soft emergency collet pads.
